JACEK PAZOLA was born in Poznan, Poland and began there his musical career as a boy soprano in the Boys and Men Choir of the Poznan Philharmonic Society (famous “Poznan Nightingales”). He learned also violin and piano playing.
He sang with this choir a. o. in the USA (a.o. New York Philharmonic), Canada, Denmark, Sweden, and Germany.

He studied then, after graduating from schools, English Philology at the University of Poznan (M.A.) and Music and Solo-Singing at the Paderewski Music Academy (M.A.). During his studies he met famous soprano Hanne-Lore Kuhse (Erich Leinsdorf`s soprano in Boston and at the Tanglewood Festival) and got from her private lessons in Berlin. Jacek Pazola started his tenor career in his native city at the Music Theatre, followed by contracts in Schwerin (Germany) and the Aalto Theater Essen (Germany). At the begin of his career he sang lighter opera repertoire and most of concert repertory of Bach, Mozart, and Haendel.

Starting in 1995 he began to sing the Italian-Tenor repertory (lirico-spinto). He sang Cavaradossi in “Tosca” by Puccini in the theaters of Stralsund and Greifswald (with the soprano Janice Baird). He sang also Laca in Janacek`s “Jenufa”, and the Prince in Dvorak`s “Rusalka” (this production under Daniel Klajner). He sang then Manrico in Verdi`s “Il Trovatore” in the theaters of Flensburg, Rendsburg and Schleswig. Bacchus in Richard Strauss` “Ariadne auf Naxos“ at Zwolle Theater in Holland (Spanga Festival & Zwolle) under David Levi, and at the Koblenz Theater (Germany) followed. He sang further the Mayor in Benjamin Britten`s “Albert Herring” in the production of the Hamburg Opera, followed by Don José in Bizet`s “Carmen” in the München – Germering production. At the same time he sang Gustav Mahler`s “Das Lied von der Erde” (The Song of the Earth) with the Rheinische Philharmonie Koblenz, and with the Orchestra “Musik der Jahrhunderte” Stuttgart (a live recording by the SüdFunk Radio). He sang then the 8. Symphony of Gustav Mahler with the Göttinger Symphony (a live recording).

In 2002 he started his cooperation with the Frankfurt Opera : Zorn in Wagner`s “Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg”. He sang then Cossé in Giacomo Meyerbeer`s “Les Huguenots” with Marcello Giordani and Diana Damrau.

Jacek Pazola has been studying further during his career with Arrigo Pola in Modena, Italy (Pavarotti`s Maestro), and with Giuseppe di Stefano and Moshe Atzmon in Assisi, Italy. Finally he studied with famous tenor Carlo Bergonzi at the Bergonzi Verdi Academy in Busseto/Parma, Italy (Diploma 2004).
